Glow in the Dark Golf
You are probably wondering how you play golf in the dark, and I mean DARK. Well you start with a beverage at the bar, maybe two, and you have your barbecue before you play. Then you proceed to put on Glow in the Dark necklaces and bracelets and wrap glow sticks around your golf bag and around anything else you can wrap them around. I have to say, it is something to see,when you come up to a hole and all you can see is a bunch of necklaces, bacelets, and glow in the dark what ever, moving around in what appears to be a totally illogical and unorganized manner.
I cannot forget the ball. The ball consists of a clear ball that you insert a short glow stick into and actually, I would not exagerate, but you can see these balls flying through the air better at night than a regular golf ball during the day. What a sight to see!!! The best part, THE BALL FLOATS!!! Of course that would not be an issue at "The Creek'! Ha Ha..
While you are barbecueing and having some refreshments before the games begin, the great staff at "The Creek" go out and prepare the course. They have special Tee markers that glow brightly that guide you to the Tee. They have markers down the center of the fairways that guide you to the greens. At the greens the flag is wrapped with glow in the dark products so from the tee you can see the general direction to hit the ball. That is, if a golfer before you has not stood the flag over in the sand trap. Of course that never happens. The cup is also lit up with a glow in the dark device so when you are putting you can see the target.
We have to mention the refreshment cart. We are fortunate at "The Creek' to have some creative individuals that while they are quite focused on their job they know how to decorate. Needless to say, the cart is well lit and you see them coming.
Of course how do you begin this great event but with some fireworks. It is a shotgun start where everyone walks out to there starting hole and when the fireworks go off the games begin. An that is the beginning of an of an incredible evening.
